Tucson, Arizona is situated about one hour from
the International Border between the United States
and Mexico.

The surrounding desert area can be
a beautiful and memorable Southwest visitor destination.
 
Tucson is large and can move fast.
Thousands of people from the wealthy to the homeless
pass through and or relocate from around the United States
and from other countries to Tucson every month. 
That very rapid popluation growth, flux, and influx
occurs within the backdrop of ever increasing living costs,
decreasing water availablity from the Colorado River Canal,
rapid housing and
commerical development sprawl
over the last 20+ years.

The city offers some LGBTQ+
infrastructure and networks.

Outside of Tucson and its suburbs,
in the remaining pristine desert areas
some remaining stands of cactus like none
else anywhere found on Earth are still seen.

A ring of spectacular mountain ranges that once
were active volcanoes circle Tucson
in almost every direction.

Locally in Tucson an Annual Pride Week of Events is usually held,
along with other regular yearly LGBTQ+ activities,
unique friendly restaurants and bars, 
trendy downtown revivials of trendy and earlier
era style watering holes & business.
 
Blooming desert wildflowers in their seasons
offer just a few of the many Tucson sights, events,
 and activities both the visitor and the resident may enjoy.

 
Immurse yourself in the Tucson area's many unique cultures
and its varied history of numerous ancient peoples.
From one time arrivals via the Siberean Land Bridge
to Spanish colonists along with other European,
Mexican, United States, Confederate States, and Mormon
arrivals, explorers and residents, the areas various frontiersmen,
fortune hunters, gunslingers, gamblers, saloon girls,
miners, cattle barrons, settlers, townspeople, saloons,
red light districts, business men and business women,
and notables offer a deep historical local color.


Today's Tucson visitor to the fast moving and at times
somewhat crowded busy city can discover birding adventures,
nude sunbathing areas, Tucson's various themed nighttime
bar scenes, evening stargazing, ghost town exploring,
an annual "Bears Of The Old Pueblo Festival',
 cave adventures, national cactus parks, gastronomic
restaurants delights from many varied cultures,
or just relaxing by a pool, enjoying a sunrise
or sunset, gazing out a window, or relaxing
out on an open air porch
in a big comfy easy chair.


 As part of the northern Sonoran desert,
summers in Tucson are hot above 100 degrees
and humid with high tropical humidity coming
up from the Gulf of Mexico during the areas
'Monsoon Season', while winters at night
in the desert can be cold at times
down to freezing or below.

Many LGBTQ+ adventurers of all ages and walks of life
over the years have made Tucson, Arizona
one of the items on their To-Do Lists in life.
